Previous experience
I have been teaching English as a Second Language for 8 months. I have previously volunteered as a Sunday School teacher. It was then that I discovered my love for teaching and working with people. I learnt how to conduct lessons, teach, prepare for classes and manage classes.
Teaching Methodology
My style of teaching is to get to know what the needs of the student is and adapt my lesson accordingly. I focus on speaking, fluency and pronunciation. I will use realia, pictures and a whiteboard to write on as classroom materials. Tasks will mostly be done in class so that I can provide assistance when necessary. I will start to give homework as the student becomes more proficient in the English language.
